Read that Dept. of Interior is again debating off shore drilling.
I get a daily e-mail from The Good Clean Funnies list.
Todays fit tthe topic to a tee.

I THINK I WOULD DEFINITELY TRADE THE RIGHTS TO DRILL OFF THE COAST OF NC IF THE FEDS WERE WILLING TO MAKE A LONG TERM COMMITMENT TO NOURISH THE BEACHES.
There are some who believe that is what will happen. There have been several proposals to bribe the states to relax off shore driling rules. BN is one of the common uses suggested for the money. Here is an old post on the subject. Searh off shore for more postings

Let me try that again:
I have deleted an comment from Overwash that I considered to be abusive.
The rules are very simple. There is no need to insult people to make your point. If you can't make your point without being mean, you can't post here.
Mr. Barry,
I apologize for describing your North Carolina beach cottage by using an unnecessary adjective.
I will say, however, that your statement (above) insults me, since you are a New York resident, whose OBX cottage is in peril from the ocean.
Mr. Bob,
Question:
You found it necessary to delete a post. No problem. But, why did you find it necessary to publically chasitze the writer?
Why not just delete the post and end it there. Also, noticed you didn't say who made the other post you deleted. Nice is a nice does, said Forrest G.
The second post that I deleted was by me. It identical to the post below it except that it had a typo. It closed with "you can post here" rather than "you can't post here" . From here on out I will identify the author of any post I delete and explain the reason for deleting the post. I believe that people should know whose posts I am deleting and more importantly the reason. Thanks for helping get this right.
